Problems with my Plasma TV?

I have a Samsung Plasma Flat Screen tv. It has started displaying a black strip on the bottom half of the screen. It happens after the tv has been on for a short while and will intermitantly disappear or when i turn the set of for a few minutes. the tv was bought November 06. Can this be repaired or do I n eed a new telly.

Sell that thing and buy a LCD.

Take it to a reputable repair shop and have it diagnosed. This type of problem is almost always either a defective driver board or the panel. Paying a professional to check it out is always cheaper than guessing at it and buying expensive modules unnecessarily. My bet would be the panel
