Question:

Projector help!!?

it overheats and turns off after thirty seconds... please help!

i've cleaned two circular fans, but it didn't effect it...

  1. Is it possible that something near the projector is blocking the fans when you turn it on, like a blanket or the wall? That might trigger its overheating. Otherwise, it might have something else wrong with it beyond an overheating problem. Ask the store that sold it to you to take a look, or call the company that made it.


  2. Have you changed the Bulb recently? It sounds like the bulb may be running too hot, you may need one with LESS wattage. If not, it sounds like it could be fan(s) are not working or a fuse or heat couple (sensor) may defective or ready to burn out.

  3. I am 95% sure that it is the lamp.  What happens is when the sensor, senses, that the lamp is burning out (ie too hot) it will shut down to keep from further damaging the projector.
