Prom Committee Duties?

What does a Prom Committee do? Does it mean that we're not going to have fun in the prom nyt itself??

No,,, you will be having plenty of fun and enjoy all of the festivites on prom night.   What you will be doing is all of the planning.   *****

****After thinking about it,  I wanted to add a couple of items.

Deciding on a budget for how much everything is going to cost...  and besides selling tickets,  deciding on how to raise funds - car washes or barbeques or spaghetti dinners.

Finding where to hold the prom and getting quotes for how much a hall or banquet room will cost.

Planning the food / drinks / refreshments / dinnerware

Entertainment - either a live band or a DJ for the evening.

Decorations / Table settings/ Theme for your prom

Recruting other students as helpers for before / during / and after the prom... things will have to be cleaned and picked up.

Recruting chaperones from volunteering parents.

Hiring a photographer

Having Tickets printed

Ticket sales and deciding how much to sell them for.

Deciding on a prom momento gift for every senior.

And probably other things but these are the most important matters you will have to handle... definately.

You will have lots to do before the prom...  but you will be able to sit back and enjoy prom night and know you were part of the planning process.  :))

You will have tons of fun on prom night.

It is event planning leading up to the prom such as decorations, etc.
