Prom.. we need somewhere to eat..?

Question

it has to be in Portland, Oregon..

and somewhere decently close to where we board the portland spirit...

ideally, we want a cafe

preferbly a poetry cafe

somewhere quaint and not outrageously expensive but not tacky at the same time.

please help me..

Berbati's Pan on 3rd is awesome.  Also The Blue Monk on Hawthorne.  They both plays blues and jazz and have poetry readings.  You would have to call and check the dates and times for the readings.  They are both fairly cheap and have great food.  I hope this helps!
