  1. You dont have to be posh to have manners you stupid girl.

  2. buy a pair of green wellies

  3. Start reading Country Life magazine. It's very expensive and has lots of articles about rich people and people with titles doing rich people things.

That should be a good start!

Once you have got a grasp on some of the basic stuff, you can probably figure out where to go from there :-)

    Cheers :-)

  4. You either is or you ain't posh. You can learn to behave like a posh though you'd never be accepted as a posh by true posh's. Why do you wanna be a posh. Be yourself girl!

  5. posh! Be yourself.

  6. M&S is just so down-market, try Fortnum and Mason's or Selfridges food hall. Harrods is out since they lost their Royal Warrants.

  7. get a grip

  8. Being polite, kind, patient and showing love to all especially when you its hard to love is the best manners you could have.

Its not what you have that makes you its what to give to the world that people will remember you buy, material things are here today and gone tomorrow, don't be carried away but love always.

  9. I suppose you think that Paris Hilton is "posh". Far from it!

Posh has nothing to do with wealth, manners, the clothes you wear, the places you go, the people you are seen with, the food you eat.

Posh is in the heart. A selfish irresponsible disrespectful  person who wants her family to be her personal servants will never be posh.

Go volunteer at the RSPCA or a home for the aged. Then maybe you will understand the term.

  10. I think you are trying too hard. Just be yourself, be polite, keep informed (read the newspaper so you have something to talk about with people) and you'll be fine.

  11. "Posh"  is subjective.  It means different things to different people.

Etiquette and manners do not dictate where you shop, whose designer clothing you wear, or which sports or hobbies you attend or enjoy.  In fact, by shopping at the "right" places or being "seen" at the "right" social events for the sole purpose of obtaining status--this can and will backfire on you.

You do not need to have money to behave well.  Absolutely, without a doubt, if you wish to be known as wealthy and refined, you must have good manners and etiquette.  Without behaving properly, it will not matter how much money you have, you will never achieve social status.

Etiquette is learned.  If you are not sure how to purport yourself in various social settings and situations, the Internet is a quick source of information.

If you are interested in changing your life to elevate yourself to "posh" status, there are a number of books which will educate you on proper etiquette.

I would venture to say that if you learn good manners and etiquette, posh will come automatically.

  12. The poshest people I know don't worry about where they shop.

  13. Oh - so you need some literacy courses to begin with!!!

M&S is ok i guess for the middle - class .. but to be real posh going food shopping is a No No - they get maids and butlers to do it for them.. Hire cooks and never eat at home..

Posh people fly a few hundred miles miles to go to a barbeque for a day  !!

    Good luck getting posh !!

  14. What ??? You want to be "posh" and you're "kinda rich" !!! Heaven help us all............

  15. Posh people shop in ALDI and M&S alike.

Posh people are those people who think they are posh because of the money they have.

Money cant buy happiness and manners

  16. wtf would you wanna be posh? So you can look down on others?

    GET OVER YOURSELF

btw it is very poor manners to ask dumbass questions

  17. I wonder if you are serious?  it is a very funny question.  I am not posh at all but I like posh stuff.  I was born working class but because I got a good education, profession and the house, car etc. my kids say I am middle-class now - laugh OUT loud.

To be posh, you need to speak as if you have a plum in your mouth. You must never burp or break wind.  Yes, you must buy your groceries at M&S  or Waitrose.  You must have nothing to do with chavs.  You must live in a detached house, in its own grounds.  You must have a bidet in the bathroom and a Porshe in the garage.  You must holiday in Barbados or St Tropez.  You must not talk in your sleep, or you might give yourself away.  You must have an Hurray Henry boyfriend, perferably educated at Eton.  Good luck.

P.S  Shop at Monsoon or Harvey Nicks.  Play croquet, badminton and tennis, preferably on your own tennis courts. Hobbies should be skieing or sky diving.

  18. If you want to be posh, then first you need to speak and write properly and not slovenly as you have done.  Wrong spellings etc.

next is to read many books and learn culture for instance books by Dickens, Jane Austen and Louise Allcotts Little Women.

Stop watching the TV and listen to Classic FM, Radio $ and learn General Knowledge.

Next listen to people talking and develope a caring person inside yourself.

If you are young enough join a decent youth organisation and take part in the Duke of edinburghs Award scheme that wil teach you about yourself.  If older than 24, join a youth movement and help young people a d this will teach you about yourself.

be true to yourself, do what you say you are going to do always and learn to be trusted and honesty is a good thing to have.
