  1. Yea, compression shorts and spandex can be uncomfortable, but don't row without them - it's much better to get your balls "scrunched up" than stuck in the slide.

  2. Cons: The hours, the exhaustion, your knees, your back.......  all at a time when your body is still growing.....

Pros: The unity with your boatmates, the feeling of cutting across the water when you're all in sync, the placid water at dawn (and that's when you'll practice), the fact that you will be in the best shape you'll ever be in - until you go too far and break down.

  3. pros: Build muscle

cons: Your balls get scrunched up in the under armor

  4. cons:

usually that it takes over your life which i like but most people don't but with only 2 practices a week you will be fine..

also you get injured easily due to repetitive training but since you only have a few a week you will be fine with that too!

    pros:

too many to count! i spend more time with my team than anyone and they are my second family and the boathouse is my home.

i feel and am stronger than i have ever been and than i ever thought i could have been.

the feeling of being on the water rowing and feeling the power surge through the boat.

    winning races = amazing.

    best workout. ever.

    intense.

    i highly recommend it.

    its great!!
