Protecting your stuff in a hotel?

I will be spending for the first time a few nights in a hotel room. I will be taking my luggage with some other electronics. what should I do to ensure that I am not robbed? thnx

  1. If the hotel room has a safe and everything fits, just use that.  

    If it does not, you can:

    A>  Give it to the desk for safekeeping (depending on how much you trust them.

    B>  Lock it inside a piece of luggage and use a bike or luggage lock to secure it to something immovable.  This won't stop someone determined, but will deter the casual thief.


  2. Depends on what sort of "hotel" you are staying in, if it's a 5* then no problem, but, if it's a no star hotel then beware.
