Prudential Financial expands partnership with LPGA
The LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) has informed that Prudential Financial has agreed to extend its cooperation with the Tour, becoming the Official Financial Services Provider.
In addition to providing financial services to the LPGA, Prudential Financial will also serve as the Umbrella Media Sponsor.
LPGA Chief Marketing Officer Jon Podany said that the LPGA is making major strides, as the expansion of partnership with Prudential Financial will streamline the financial affairs of the Tour.
The LPGA has expanded its operations recently and it is becoming increasingly important for the officials to keep track of financial records according to the current standard.
Taking Prudential Financial on board will also diversify the funds funnelled to LPGA.
LPGA, which is the most influential organiser of women’s golf tournaments, has seen its credibility grow in the recent months.
The Tour had been limited to the United States and Europe a few years back, but now with new avenues being explored, sound financial services have become even more crucial.
Podany said that the officials of the LPGA are pretty excited about the expansion of the partnership with Prudential Financial and they have expressed their confidence in the success of this cooperation.
He shed light on the role of Prudential Financial, saying that the responsibilities will be more diversified than ever before.
He said that Prudential Financial is a very stable entity and has been known to provide the required services to its partners.
Podany stated, “We are thrilled that Prudential will continue its partnership with the LPGA in a significantly expanded role”.
“Prudential is a blue-chip brand that represents strength and stability and their enhanced partnership with the Tour is a great sign of our continued growth and positive momentum,” Podany further said.
Colin McConnell, Vice President of Advertising for Prudential said that the company plans to serve the LPGA with a typical efficiency and he hopes that their partnership will prove beneficial for both entities.
“Prudential is pleased to be extending its partnership with the LPGA for the next two years," McConnell said.
He added that the improved cooperation between the two entities will make sure that they engage bigger audiences in an attempt to turn the LPGA into a more effective organisation.
