Psychedelic mushrooms?

Question

1.) How long do mushrooms last after they are picked? (without drying them)

2.) there are mushrooms that are similar to Liberty Caps, except their stems are darker, and when they are broken, a dark almost blood/purple liquid comes out.

3.) how do i grow mushrooms from ones i've collected?

4.) generally, how do i know which mushrooms are "psychedelic", and which are poisonous?

If anyone is familiar with the mushrooms of the NY region (Hudson Valley), please message me. I need some help in identifying mushrooms that i've collected.

1 probably a couple days if they look bad then they probably are

2 yes there are psilocybe pelliculosa and psilcybe silvatica  thes all look like another group but don't grow in dung like the others

just look up those ones on internet to see if they are poisonous or not idk

3 it may be possible but some are finicky and don't grow indoors

Going back to my college days...

1. they will last a few days. better to consume right away.

2. & 4. First, if they are not growing in cow patties (manure) they probably aren't psilocybe cubensis, or mexicana. Also, the best time to gather is just hours after a misty rain.

Be very, very careful when picking wild mushrooms. Many have powerful toxins that can kill your liver. It is best to have a 'guide' when hunting.

3. The spores can be collected from the gills on the underside of the mushroom cap onto clean white paper. Then they can be spread over manure and misted to propagate a new crop.
