bending spoons.i noe that bending spoon, even if the person claims its not a trick,is hard to convince people that he has psychic power, cuz there are people who does not believe in it,and many could do it using strength.but still,i want to know why some people think that its a trick?if you were to go to youtube, you can see that the way you bend a spoon using trick and PK is different!in a trick, you make it look like the spoon is slowly bending on its own.but otherwise, you can see that you can bend it many rounds. this is fake:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4AvwGumWB0

but this,is real! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSfJjdnqfOo&feature=related

i bent a spoon and though i'm not sure if it's PK or strength, why would i lie to myself if i did it using a trick!?i dont understand people who think there's no such thing as psychic ability.for all you know, there are people who did stuff that you cant do for real and carn be explained by science!

  1. well im not sure if he is the real deal but, i think we all sort of have like a future sense. Like Deja Vu, sometimes i think i get that, but now that I think of it, maybe your brain just asumes what they say, based on there personality, and thinks it ahead of time. Thus you think of De ja Vu. but i dont know....i just dont

  2. I think the problem with spoon bending is that it allows the possibility of cheating (via physical force, magic tricks, etc.). Uri Geller ( a magician) that is famous for this has been caught cheating but there are parapsychologist that believe they have him tested under conditions that eliminated (as much as possible) his ability to cheat and he was still able to do this. So the research is controversial at best.

As early as the 1930's J.B. Rhine (link below) in order to test the claims of a gambler that he could influence dice started using cups (so no hand contact) and then automated dice throwing machines (no human contact at all) in order to test this claim.

Later experiments by physicist Helmut Schmidt (link below) were done using radio active decay (random) devices.

There are of course other claims for PK like those demonstrated by Nina Kulgina of the former Soviet Union (link below) that no magician has ever been able to duplicate under controlled laboratory conditions while observed by trained scientist.

Then the work of Princeton University via the PEAR program (link below) that used machines and then eventually random number generators.

So, in summary there is some evidence for PK from experiments that are far better (and less prone to fraud) than spoon bending.

  3. very good question and i do believe in psychic powers but not the bending of spoons uri geller let the cat out the bag on that one and what a shame,

but to get back to psychic powers do you think there is a link to premunitions ? i have had several of these , recently predicting 2 lottery balls that would be drawn the following night and surely enough they did .

alot of people would dissmiss that as rubbish or luck or coincidence but like you only i no it wasnt.

  4. I know it is real from personal experience.

  5. That video shows a woman bending a spoon using her hands.  There is nothing PK about it.  She used both of her hands to twist it around.

Why is it that so many so-called paranormalists demonstrate their supernatural powers using the same medium as do magicians?  If you have supernatural powers why don't you demonstrate them via some method that can't be duplicated with trickery?  Answer: You can't because you don't have any supernatural powers.

I'm sorry you have been duped by yet another pretender.  It may be cold comfort, but rest assured you weren't the first and you probably won't be the last.

When you believe you bent a spoon via PK you aren't lying to yourself.  Well, at least not consciously.  You bent it naturally and due to your earnest belief you convinced yourself the feat was accomplished supernaturally.

I do not believe in psychic ability--which has nothing to do with bending spoons--because, as with spoon bending, I have seen no positive evidence supporting the idea that such abilities exist.  On the contrary, I have seen plenty of negative evidence produced by frauds like the one in this second video.  Once again, I am sorry you have been taken in by their dishonesty.

  6. What do you know, another claim of psychic powers. We see a lot of that.Too bad no one puts their money where their mouth is.I'd like to see just one of them shut those pesky skeptics up.
