Public or Private school?

Question

I need an opinion. i am in 7th grade going into 8th and i have been complaining about my private school for 4 years. my mom talked to the private high school that i want to go to and they said that they will take me even if i go to 8th grade at a public school. NOW THE PROBLEM: my BFFS switched schools and i can go to the public school, but, if i dont like it my private school is farther ahead then the public so id be behind! HELP! what should i do?

latest nationwide testing proves that there really isn't a difference between going to a private school or public.  It's all what you do when you get there.  That's what counts.

you should go to public school because you may not like it at first I know I didnt but after a couple months you will really start liking much better because im going to seventh grade to!

the good thing is that if you end up going to a new school you can keep your old friends AND make new ones :)

go to the Schoolll that you like better because youll have to go there almost everyday. personally i like public school better but it always depends on the school

If your private school is ahead of the public then you should be ahead of the curve. I went to a private school for a couple years and I liked it more than public school. Public schools often have teachers who do not care about you and only want to collect a check. However, private schools have more rules and are often stricter. I would think long and hard about which would be better for you in the long run and not necessarily make a decision based on where your best friend is going.

Go for it. Public and private really arent that different and you'll make more friends there, im sure. Dont even CONSIDER leaving in grade 8 and going back to private school. One year of public really wont hurt, i promise. LOL

First of all quit basing your moves on your BFFS...

I'm sure there is more than one private school in your area...check them out.

If you have a parent at home consider home schooling for a year my daughter did it for the 8th grade and decided to enter Texas Tech's online high school this year.

It is better to enter behind now than in high school, can you imagine how far behind you would be after another year?
