The win lifted them to the 12th spot in the current league standings.
Speaking of his side’s performance on Saturday, the Irishman felt that they were really put to the test by the visiting team.
However, he was in awe for Crouch, whom he described as ‘unplayable’ on the day, and was disappointed that the English footballer missed out on the hat-trick.
Pulis took off the striker in the closing stages of the game, and brought in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kenwyne-Jones-c20659 as his surrogate.
“I'm just disappointed Crouchy didn't get his hat-trick,” he told the reporters in an interview.
“I just wanted to give Kenwyne a bit of time, and the header against the crossbar - that should be food and drink for Peter.”
The 31-year old, who has also capped 42 international appearances for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749, was overlooked by national manager, Roy Hodgson, for a place in the squad for the World Cup Qualifiers.
Crouch is believed to have soar relations with the veteran Englishman, who earlier gave preference to Andy Carroll over him in his 24-man contingent.
Nonetheless, the boss at Britannia feels that the striker’s recent form merited him a place in the Three Lions fold.
He admitted that at the end, it was up to Hodgson’s to decide who to include in the squad, but believes that Crouch thoroughly deserves the opportunity to represent his country.
“Roy [Hodgson] has a lot of experience and the last thing I want to do is tell him what team to pick…It has to be up to him. I don't think Peter can do any more than score goals and play well, and you have seen him today - in the first half he was unplayable,”
he added.
Crouch has got 22 international goals under his belt, apart from his 19 for the Potters.
