Pump paintball?

Question

i have heard that if you play paintball with a pump gun, it will make you better and conserve money. also, ive heard their extremely accurate.

i currently have a tippman a-5 and was thinking about going pump.

would this be wise?

it actually isnt as good because you cant double tapp and the point of that is to get as much paintballs down the feild so that your teammates can move to a new position the hit that guy trust me !!!!!

It will make you so much better, as being accurate its the same, dont say pump play it and switch to the a5 then switch back, playing pump is really fun and its also the purest from of paintball.

it will make u better if u us it to practice but do not take it to a tounament or nothin  like that i use it to practice and the take my tippmann 98c to tounament and i kick but

yes it would be wise if you want to inprove your accuracy but if you want to have more fun go with the co2 hope this helps!

Playing with a pump is great.  A pump is not any more accurate than an A-5 or any other paintball marker, accuracy is going to depend on your paint to barrel match.  Playing with a pump will improve your skills and the ability to make the shot count because with a pump, you cannot simply pull the trigger, and spray and pray.

If you are interested in getting into pumps, pick up a used ACI Maverick or PMI Traccer (same marker.)  You can usually find one for less than $70.   It is a great marker and an affordable way to start playing with pump markers.

I actually owned both an A-5 and Maverick.  I enjoy playing with a pump and had found myself using it more and more to the point that I was exclusively a pump for woodsball and the A-5 sat in my gear bag.  I sold both the A-5 and Maverick and upgraded to a better pump set-up (custom WGP Autococker with CCM.)
