Purely hypothetical question about aliens?

Question

For the purpose of this question please suspend your beliefs and certainties long enough to allow for the possibility aliens exist, either as pilots of UFOs, or among us, or both.

Otherwise the question isn't directed to you. I'll be grateful if you don't clutter the answers.

Questions:

If [some or all] UFOs have aliens inside them what might be their purpose in doing what they do? [Including attacks against human communities such as UFO attack on Colares, Brazil, 1977

I think they're trying to "break it to us gently" that they are either here already or that they are coming. I don't believe all the crop circles are man made. Who knows...maybe the so called man-made ones are possibly made by aliens who are already here and sending signs to those in UFOs.

I saw a UFO show on the History channel last night . I think it was called the "Black Box". It's like the govt. is also slowly trying to ease us into the awareness that something is happening. I think they're letting disclosures happen too.

  I think that either there are some already here...or at least some people who might have communicated with them and are trying to prepare the way.  I don't live in fear of meeting these people who might be helping them (that if someone I know might be one). I think I might have already met one. At least he was sure "different". But , I can't say like mercu that he was "fun" or "fun loving". He was very "cold" acting. Kind of like he was "checking me out" to see if I could believe or accept it...or would tell. (But, this could have been about something totally different. I'm just sayin'...I haven't closed the door to the possibility.) Whatever he was...I hope they aren't like him.

  I think YOU might know some" people" that you suspect of this. You seem to know so much about everything...maybe you're one! lol. Well...you would sure make a good one for them to contact. At  least they now know not to choose a Bozo like me!!!

Edit..Jack..I thought I did answer some of your questions. It's really hard to try to write answers to so many parts of a  question when you have to keep looking back up to the question. I don't know anyone who might have been abducted by aliens...except sometimes I think my brain was.(and that's not a joke)

I have no idea what their purpose is. If they can make super duper space ships...surely they are intelligent & have what they need on their planet to make these ships. Maybe they're greedy & want to take over all the inhabited planets...kinda like Napoleon tried to take over. Maybe they want to see if we're strong or weak. Maybe they want to barter with us.

If that really happened in Brazil...then we might be headed for  big trouble. Hard to believe this hasn't been revealed (about Brazil) on the disclosures we've gotten in the past few years.

I have never seen this possibility discussed, but it seems to me logical to think that UFOs actually are time-traveling vehicles from the future. It is reasonable to expect, given the great advancements in all forms of technology in the 20th century, that those who come after us will find a means of going back in time. Those limited number of human contacts could be attempts to take DNA samples, etc. I discount reports of attacks by UFOs as not conforming to the norm of other sightings.

I'm going to answer the interdimensional travelers one. I know for a fact that there are those (quite a few) who's spirit is alien, but chose to be born into this life as a human being living on Earth...I cannot get into too much details explaining to you how I know, why they are here (I'm not allowed to divulge that information, yet) or how they look like in spirit - but they have exposed themselves to me when I have reached a very heightened state of consciousness....This life is a stop over for them, to experience the beautiful realities of what it is to be human...These humans (with alien spirit) are highly evolved, they know too much. To meet them, they are such wonderful, optimistic, caring, kind individuals whom have love for everyone and everything. Honestly, magic seems to happen when they are around. They do not want much from this life, just to have fun!

*I really don't care if no one believes me or thinks I'm a kook, but I am living with one and the mind melding and telepathy that happens between us is amazing....My perceptions of reality (such as love, bliss) would not have evolved so much if I had not met him.

If UFO's are alien ships, why do the necessarily have to be from another star system?  They instead could be from a parallel universe?  Or perhaps there are somethings we humans are completely inable to perceive around us? Are such entities here?  At times I wonder.

Strangely enough Politics.  Why are the Neocons (of America) so damned determined to turn Earth into an unihabitable midden?  Anything that would even slightly be a benefit to the environment, even if it doesn't cost anything, they attack it.

There is no satisfactory evidence to support any theory of visitation by non-earth life.  The laws of physics make such visitation a practical impossibility; the mathematics are a bit long to include here, but will be sent upon inquiry.

I'm just going to answer the first question, since the others somewhat ignore your own preconditions (if I must suspend my disbelief, how can I answer your questions, which imply the belief itself).

But the first is a valid question on the conditions stated.

If there are aliens in UFOs, they would obviously be here for the purposes of investigation.  I can't see any likelihood of (for instance) tourism, or even of useful trade in physical items.  Perhaps in knowledge, but I'm guessing we're a little behind on that, so most of the trade would be one-way.

Perhaps they are looking for future trade opportunities, in ethnic artifacts perhaps, or specialized knowledge.  Maybe they is a market out there for TV comedy, which aliens have never developed on their own (lucky them).

But in general, I'd lay my money on the research angle.  Studying humans, their cultures, their technology.  Hoping to learn, but maybe also hoping to get some pre-warning if we turn out to be dangerous.  I doubt we'd have anything in the hard sciences to learn, so I'd think they'd be studying us directly, rather than trying to learn anything FROM us, if you get my meaning.

As for violent encounters, those happened in our own history, for sometimes very obscure reasons.  Perhaps there was a misunderstanding.  Perhaps competing groups of aliens were present and humans got caught in the crossfire.  I think until you have the absolute ability to separate actual encounters (remember, I'm suspending disbelief) and fake or mistaken encounters, it's hard to analyze intent.  Too much static in the data.  I think even most UFOlogists, except maybe the most rabid (Betty Hill comes to mind in her later years) would recognize that the VAST majority of sightings are explained by normal earthly phenomena.

So that's my take.  I'll just slip my skeptics hat back on if you don't mind!

Here are my answers:

1. Why do we attack new civiliations (not so much now, but think of the Romans, the British, and so on)? Probably to stop them threatening us. Aliens may well do the same.

2. No, I don't.

-Aliens and interdimensional travellers- see below.

Time travelers- probably hpysically impossible, but if they could exist, they would be the most likely ones to come visting- they would be the only ones with the faintest idea where to look for us.

3. No, I haven't met anyone like that. And what traits would suggest it anyway? ALso, any alien advanced enough to create prosthetics that good would also be advanced enough to mimic our culture.

4. No.

I do not currerntly believe in extraterrestrials having visited Earth. I think they exist somewhere in the universe, as it is so big, but lightspeed places a strict limit on the amont of travel you can do in a reasonable time. An alien civilisation in a distant galaxy would almost certainly not know about us; they would have to be very close to discover our signals and probes. Our radio signals are only a hundred or so light years from Earth, so any aliens would have to be that close to see us. And then it would take them 100 years again to get here. And the chances of that are exceedingly unlikely- and we haven't heard from them yet.

The nearest civilisations are probably at LEAST a few thousand light years away, probably far more.

I think UFOs are time ships.  Most do not interfere here, as they are historians / anthopologists wishing to study the past.  Some are more religious / political zealots attempting to alter our present / their past, to more empower themselves in our future.  They don't have the energy to stay for very long, so do not live here, but do visit when able.  Such a thing would solve most of the UFO mysteries.  Aliens from other worlds  in our time frame, coming all this way, and not taking us over seems implausible.
