Putting tv shows/movies on ipod?

i just got an ipod classic, is there any way to put DVDs and stuff i already have on the ipod without buying them?

iPod can only support mpeg4 video. Maybe what you need is just a converter. You should convert movies/DVD to your IPod supported formats. There are some free converters but you know the conversion quality and speed is not so good. I always use Cucusoft dvd to ipod converter . It is not a free converter but i think it worth the money.You can free download it and have a try.
