Quality Bicycles?

Question

What are some quality bicycles brand names that go for under $100? I'm looking for a mountain bike just to get around in and for exercise. Thanks

yes if you have 100 try craigslist for any giant, fuji, cannondale, or specialized bike. those are the brands you wanna keep you eyes open for

You can find a brand name bike for less than $100 only on deparment stores. However what you really get is just a name.. no quality here. Example mongoose places its name on wal mart bikes but mongoose doesnt actually quality checks them. They just place a decal. Bit for $100 you can not ask for more.

Trek makes an excellent bike but I doubt if you'll find one under $100.

Bought ours about 3 yrs ago and paid  considerably more than that.

There really aren't any under $100 bikes that can be considered quality if new. On the other hand you may be able to find an OK bike at a garage sale or something for $100.
