Question About A DVR!?!?!?!?

Okay, my Motorola(Comcast) DVR has A/V out connections on it, but when I try to connect something to them, nothing happens, theres an "input" on the remote, i press it and nothing happens. Why are they even there? And why are there USB ports on it? I connect my laptop to it, but then again, nothing happens. lol ( So, do i need software on my computer for it to work on it? and why are there A/V ports on it?)

The A/V outs to your tv sounds as if they are going to a different video input.  Try pushing the tv/video button  on the remote until you get your signal.

Forget the usb ports unless you need software upgrade.

I did the same thing so I called them and those are extra ports for the future and they do not work at this time.
