  1. the times u can consume simple carbs and wont be stored as fat are first thin in the morning and after a workout as long as u dont go over 30-60g depending for u itd be 30g complex carbs are good to have with everymeal for bulking anyways i have a domantly complex carb breakfast usually but i get a good 30g protien in there also about 80g carbs i eat a huge breakfast unless im working out in the morning then i just have banana and whey...anyhow lol sorry..complex carbs ive learned u dont want at ur last meal like ur dinner if it's 3hrs before u sleep OKAY have it then but have more carbs at lunch lunch and breakfast are times u want most of ur carbs i have a large lunch even my biggest meal if i workout in the morning that's what im gonna be doing during school maybe u will to? idk but u want more carbs in the morning less at night but still need them they are used for energy id say dinner dont have more than 40g carbs but have a good amount of protein ..ur snack before bed limit carbs i have about 20g most suggested by another bodybuilder he told me to take glutimine pills or powder w/e before bed and it keeps u outta that catabolic state the best..sorry answer kinda off topic hope i answered ur question in there though

  2. At the beginning of the day - at least 1 hour before your workout, and in your last meal of the day, to increase energy stores overnight and aid digestion. It's best to eat foods with a higher glycemic index directly before exercise (sugars, fruits, gatorade - bananas are GREAT for bodybuilding pre meals).

This is because Complex Carbs take more energy to digest than simple sugars and can actually sap your strength during a workout if consumed right before. The same is true for endurance athletes - complex carbs should be used for your loading at night and in the morning, while simple sugars and small amounts of protein should be consumed immediately before and during exercise. Hope this helps! :)
