on a 5.9 cummins stock transmission and stock transfer case what is a safe boost limit to do a boost off without breaking anything

  2. You're wanting to know how much boost you can build before a launch correct?

    With a stock automatic I wouldn't go over 10psi. If you had a modified auto with billet shafts and better torque converter you could go up to 20~30psi.

    At any rate you can go ahead and try higher if you'd like to find a way to get billet shafts, etc sooner.

    Even if you do have all billet internals, if you have enough power you'll break them too!

I'm running a 04.5 $X$ auto SWB Ram Air>Quadzilla 100hp mod>4" exhaust stock cat ran away>40 lbs boost is what it will run> need to check the inter-cooler if plastic it will split need the aluminum 1> I don't run it hard wanted MPG 20 Hwy> 315x70x17 tires>Over 100 hp the trans will have issues>47r trans won't hold up> 48r will to100 hp over that $$$ So beef it up> Go to dodge forums they have lots of do & don't>
