Question about a pinched nerve?

My boyfriend has hand tremors almost all of his life. They shake constantly. He has been told it could be a pinched nerve somewhere in his neck or back. Could this be the reason? Can a pinched nerve really last that long?

Depending on what is causing the pinched nerve yes, that can be a problem for a long time for some a lifetime.

Because he has tremors going on it sounds like something more is going on.

I would recommend a consultation with a neurologist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders of the nervous system such as around the neck area) if he hasn't already to see what's going on.

Sometimes a pinched nerve can be caused by something like a herniated (where there's a tear) disk but that is just an example only.
