This might sound silly but, when buying online from an american (.com) website, do they charge you american dollars on your credit card or in australian dollars?

I'm pretty sure USD but your credit card statement should show it in your currency at the converted rate.

Most of the website give you options to buy in the currency of your choice (Australian $ or Canadian $ or US $)

Since Credit-Card company will handle the currency-exchange (if required) which will be reflected in your credit-card bill.

If you have not selected the currency, then they will charge you in American Dollars.
