Question about christian vs. atheist morals?

"Most" christians teachers teach God torture burns humans in h**l fire for all eternity and they think that is ok. "Most" atheists would refuse to believe and follow God even if they thought He did exist because of this torture to people. As a believer in God and Jesus I think the atheists have more morals.

Christians, what will you say to God when you find out you were wrong?

Atheists, would you forgive them if you found out God existed and they told this terrible lie about Him?

  1. I don't say such silly things, so I wouldn't have to apologize to God for that.  I'd be too busy apologizing for much more serious things.

I may actually have an answer for why this story comes up.  Some people in the world have common sense and morals.  A nice combination.  These people are good out of the goodness of their own hearts because they know that they should be this way and that the world is a better place because of moral people with big hearts.  These types of people exist amongs all religions and also include Atheists.  These people don't need a book to tell them to be good.  They have enough vision and intellect that they actually see the stupidity in being a bad person.

But then there are those who only behave because of the consequences of being bad may affect them personally.  If they can convince themselves, and other people, that there is a place where bad people will burn in fire all day, then they have a reason to be good.

I believe in God, and I definitely believe that God will bring many Atheists into his kingdom.  Because there are plenty of Atheists who are good people, and they don't need a book to tell them to be that way nor some made-up story about an underground furnace with some guy holding a pitch fork.

  2. I already forgive Christians for their lack of faith in Human nature.

  3. Either you are searching for an answer, or teaching.

The h**l- fire doctrine is a False docotrine that misrepresents a loving God.

(Ecclesiastes 9:5) 5 For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, . . .

  4. The Bible clearly teaches that h**l is real, and is a place of eternal punishment.

To make an image of God that you are comfortable with is called idolatry.  You're breaking the 2nd commandment.

    1 Corinthians 6:9 -11

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God?  Do not be deceived, neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

  5. A "believer in Jesus" agreeing with atheists?   The devil is really busy.

  6. OMG, how can anyone be so far out there??

  7. There is no God or gods - therefore my morals and beliefs are my own creations. I owe nothing to your hypothetical God or gods. I am an atheist which is the only logical and intelligent belief statement one can have. I think you are confused by your dogmatic religious upbringing and you don't truly understand humanity.

  8. Moral behavior for the promise of eternal reward or out of fear of eternal punishment is suspect, at best.

  9. I am not the one who made h**l,God made h**l.How are we wrong?Prove us wrong. You either believe in no God, or a wimpy God that has no sense of justice, which is it?

  10. no

  11. I don't think that the ideas of h**l have much to do with it.

Most of those who reject God do so because they want to live their lives independent of any authority over how they live their lives.  They want to be the master of their own fate and captain of their own soul and God would interfere with that.

The word "moral" refers to universal law which we all ought to obey.  Such a law implies a lawgiver and that can only be God.  It isn't that atheists aren't moral, it is that the word has lost all meaning for the atheist.  Without God, moral means what I want it to mean.

  12. I am a Christian but I don't believe in a actual place of eternal torment for non-believers. (I think God is a lot more complicated and merciful than this!)

I think that the morality of a person isn't one group over another but an individual thing it doesn't matter whether they are atheist or not.

What would I say to God if I am wrong?

    "It's a good thing I didn't believe in preaching my religious views.....hunh?"

    God Bless!!
