Question about classes?

I was thinking about pursuing some form of anthropology or archeology in college but was wondering what classes would be good to take for it

The introduction courses are a no brainer, considering most colleges require you to take prerequisites prior to in-rolling into more advanced classes. If you are serious about pursuing an anthropology/archaeology major you will need to take core classes such as geology, chemistry, physiology, anatomy, statistics, biology, and possibly genetic classes.

This is just the reality of the matter, also you need to be a very self motivated person, maintain around a 3.5 GPA or better, plan on attending grad school, and participate in various internships to land yourself a good job.

Start out with an Introduction class, it will give you a better idea of the different areas within Anthropology and which one you would like to pursue.  Also, it will give you the background essential for more advanced classes.

Start out with an introductory anthro or archy course. 101 or the like. That will let you decide if you like it or not.

I am pursuing the same fields.  Intro to anthro is a given.  I would strongly suggest taking some early world civ classes.  Sociology and psychology have helped me as well (introductionary level for these) I would also suggest some geography.  Once I've transferred to the four year level I am required to to linguistics as well as archeology.  Rumor has it I may be required to take statistics as well (yuck!) so you may want to brush up on the math.
