Question about curly hair... ?

In my experience, a lot of people just don't like it. 80% percent of people when talking to me about my hair will say "Have you ever thought about straightening your hair? You should straighten your hair."

I just want to either say "Have you ever thought about minding your own business?" or "You mean like everybody else?"

When I straighten my hair just for a change people tell me my hair looks nice and that I should do it everyday. I'm not spending an hour just trying to get conformist hair.

Now 20% of people will say- "Wow, is this natural? It's so pretty, you should wear it down more often!" But that's only family, hairdressers, and a few random people. Definitely the minority.

My bottom line is why do curly haired people get grief for not having straight hair? Why do we have to conform to what everyone else looks like? Looks don't even matter, I just clean and comb my hair and I'm done with it because it's the easiest thing to do with it and I don't need to impress anyone.

i wish that's all i had to do with my hair. i have wavy hair. it doesn't look good wavy :) i have to blow dry it, and then, it only looks "alright" be proud of your curly hair! a lot of the time, people are only jealous b/c their hair wont hold curl, so they have to wear it straight all the time. mine wont hold a curl for $hit, but, i still love curly hair on other people.

I have mega mega curly hair.

Im mixed .. so yeah.

I think i look bettter with my hair down.

and if i try to wear it down curly..

OH BOY it gets BIG LOL.

im still looking for that right product !

Anyways; i usually get commented on hair pretty and curly my hair is.  and people usually say " Aww why dont you wear it down ?"

I say well it doesnt work that way . it gets poofy!

and they say, well straighten it. and i say it goes right back to curly !

Well i just think that after a long time of seeing the same person with the same hair style ( upp in  a pony/ bun) ; they want to see something else, i guess.

But its really none of their business to ask questions or just flat out tell the person WEAR YOUR HAIR DOWN.

I just think its because right now on 2008; the biggest thing is straight hair. Stick straight hair. And straightners. Everyybody i know has a straightner. Including me .

i have curly hair, and i personally choose to straighten it because in I THINK i look better with it straight.

it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, but when i do (sometimes) have my hair curly a lot of people comment on how nice it looks...
