  1. It depends if it's just temporary or not. Sometimes when i get yelled at, i think that. But the next day, i go like OH WTF how can i not want to live?????????? If it's continuous though, then yes it can be considered a sign of depression.

  5. depression

word of advice seek a therapist

  6. Hmm. It can depend on the person. However, majority of cases feel that the feeling of not wanting to live anymore is caused from depression. Whenever there is that thought in the mind, it's always advised to go seek counseling or therapy.  This way you have someone of professionalism who can talk to that person while giving the right advice or a diagnosis to treat the problem. It's good too because it helps the person process their emotions out loud rather than bottling them up inside. That is the worst thing to do is bottle up these emotions. Sometimes family members or friends are not enough and that is why counselors or therapists are there.  Another exercise is to have a journal and write these feelings down. It's another way to process emotions. Processing emotions is important daily. Other than writing in a journal the way to process emotions is by talking to someone, through a hobby like art, music etc. Sometimes prescribed medications can help too.

Drugs and alcohol will encourage this problem a whole lot more. Some individuals can defeat depression on their own after receiving help. Others cant and that is because with a chemical imbalance in the brain, medication is necessary to beat depression. I know from me, I was able to defeat it on my own. A lot of it was because I was tired of feeling so miserable about myself all of the time. I wanted to feel happy and I had to find things that made me happy and decided I want to be happy today. That is the first step and also seeking a professional psychologist.

  15. i would say that is a sign that you have depression.  i'm sure that you have at least one if not many reasons to live.  if you also feel like withdrawn or just not like going out with freinds or anything i suggest speaking to a doctor or a psychiatrist

  16. Yes it is, get some help real quick.

  17. Usually people commit suicide, or consider suicide because of depression, but that is not the only reason. Other reasons can be guilt, fear, illness, etc. So just because you want to die does not mean you are depressed, but it can be.

    If you are worried you are depressed, some symtoms of depression are;

    - Lack of positive effect, feeling like it's not worth doing anything anymore.

    - Loneliness, even when someone else is around, you feel like no one wants you. You can be in a room with a million people, and you feel still alone.

    - Decreased appetite.

    - Lack of energy.

    - Not being able to sleep.

    - Sadness.

Just because you feel like it's not worth living anymore, does not mean you are depressed. If you have quite a bit of these symtoms, you should see a doctor. No one deserves to die alone.

  18. mm i think  it could be both, if you suffer from depression like myself, it causes you not to live anymore...but i guess it's a symptom too...if you really feel like that you could be depressed!

  19. Yeah it's def. related to depression.  I used to feel that way.  Then I started to attack the things in my life that were bothering me, and now I love myself and life more than ever.

Talk to somebody about it.  And realize there's a lot of love in the world.

  20. Sure...

    You can get help...

Maybe get a notebook or something and write down your thougths to help you vent.

And do what ever you can to take focus off it..

I suffer with high anxitey and it helps ALOT!

    Good luck!
