Question:

Question about ferry in Galveston?

Today I took a ferry to Galveston and it was the worst ride ever. The ferry rocked back and forth and the waves were crashing across the boat. When it was time to go home, instead of taking the ferry home, we drove through Houston. Is it safe to ride the ferry when the boat is shaking and rocking back and forth with the waves hitting over the sides? It really scared me.

  1. I've ridden the ferry into Galveston many, many times and never noticed any problem. Is that your first time in something bigger than a canoe on a body of water bigger than a creek? lol

  2. i think you answered your own question. Right

  3. I live in the State of Washington which has the biggest ferry system in the world. The ferries are inspected by the US Coastguard and are quite safe. I've been on one run that was so rough that our Harley was knocked over but the boat made it through the swells with no problem. It might be scary but you shouldn't worry about sinking.
