Is being linux + certified only good for those who are network adminstrators as far as getting a job goes? If someone is A+ certified, and decides to get Linux+ certified, is that ok, or like I said is linux+ only good for those who are net+ certified and/or network administrators

  1. this is a field the the more you know the better, if you are certify Linux + tech, you will make more money.

  2. Well a qoute  "CompTIA Linux+ is a vendor-neutral certification, generic across distributions, that validates the knowledge of individuals with a minimum of six to 12 months of practical Linux experience."

Network Admins will need much more than that to be Administrators!  They can take it but all it is. is a basic certification level for  Linux Knowledge. Just like A+ is a basic competency certificate. So it will certainly show you as having basic knowledge in linux - that always is a plus for anyone.

There are several good Administrative Courses for Administrative level Linux - like http://www.oreillyschool.com/courses/sys...

or Red Hat System Administration or RHCE
