  1. I'm not sure such a chart exists. Different topical steroids have different potencies. One person may use steroids on a small area of the body, another over a large area. Length of time is a large factor. Local side effects can be seen sooner when applied over thin skin, for example under the eye or the skin of the genitalia, than over coarser skin.

In other words, there are many variables and it is not easy to determine what amount is absorbed by the body of patient A versus the body of patients B, C, D, etc. You need to talk with your doctor about the safety of extensive or long term use of topical steroids, especially those that are very potent.

  2. Why bother? When used as they're supposed to be used, the dose absorbed is so trivial as to be meaningless. Local effects you may need to worry about: systemic ones, not so much.

  3. Look up "cortisone causing cushings" in the Search for Questions box.

  4. Here try this web site www.epocrates.com/medtools/topicalcortic... and you can also look at this one it has a chart www.skinandaging.com/docs/DrugGuide1006.... check em out and i hope it helps
