i am about two weeks late for my AF, i have had multiple BFN's but a lot of symptoms such as cramping on and off, constipation, extreme fatigue, and tender nipples...im scheduled to get a blood test today, but i have been reading question on here that said that some people actually have false negatives on blood tests...i thought the blood test was the end all of all questions...so how likely is a false negative on a blood test really? how many people know someone who it happened to?

  1. If you are 2 weeks later for AF the blood test would be extremely accurate. It's more commoon when done before AF is due or right around to have false negatives. But overall it is the most accurate test you can do.

  2. I believe it is VERY RARE that the blood test could come back negative... so there is a good chance that you are pregnant (wishing you luck!!!)

If it does come back negative, it could be that you were pregnant and the baby never attached itself to you uterus wall... which never produce the HCG level...which is required to see if you are or aren't pregnant.

My doctor was telling (when I had my miscarriage) that miscarriage are ALOT more commong then we think (since all the studies, examining women's cycle for in-vitro, etc...) that he said 60% of LATE PERIODS is an early miscarriage but most women think it's LATE period so they don't think anymore of it... because the pregnancy test come out negative because there isn't enough HCG level in your system....
