I have a Belkin Wireless G Router and I am trying to use an adapter to wirelessly connect to one of my computers. I am having trouble getting the adapter to work. I installed it and done everything it says and it is still not working. Is there anyway I can get this to work?

  1. You must make sure that you have installed the adapter drivers BEFORE connecting it. Upon connection Windows should detect and set it up for you, if that didn't happen try reinstalling the drivers (again, ensure the adapter is NOT plugged in when you do so) and then connecting the adapter to a different USB port. Once windows recognizes the adapter and it is able to search for networks follow the instructions on the router to connect to your wireless network. Or the neighbours. Your pick.

  2. Well you can contact Belkin and see what they can do. Also, I prefer to get Linksys router and network adapters. They work much better and easier, in my opinion. SOrry I really couldn't help. It could be anything, you need to provide some more details.

  3. I bought a wireless "n" router by belkin and absolutely could not get it to work until I called them.  You see, most home networks use IP addresses in the 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.255 range.  Belkin told me that because of my internet provider I had to change the IP address of my network.  I don't remember what they changed it to but it worked.  You might have to call them.  Be prepared for a long wait and someone who is hard to understand helping you.
