i'd like to go to Cuba for a while. my biological father is from Santiago de Cuba, although i haven't seen him since i was 4, when i was adopted. i'm interested in learning about the ways of the island, since i'm well aware of the propaganda the U.S. government has tried to shove down the people's throats here about the island. U.S. culture no longer holds any allure for me, so i'd like to see the island. can anyone help me on any travel help on going there? and also, i may enter via Mexico right?

  1. there is a good website that has hotels, carts, yachts, etc I guess is run by the government http://www.cubaccommodation.com/ I'm Cuban but left several years ago

  2. Your best option is going through Mexico. there are very chaep flights that depart from Mexico City, Cancun(best option), and Monterrey. Try Click from Mexicana http://www.click.com.mx/ for prices.

Other option is to fly to Cancun and from Cozumel, Mexico (an Island just next to cancun) you can get a very cheap travel by boat, and the experience would be awesome.

    Good luck.

  3. The only way you could go to Cuba is if you had a student VISA .... why dont you just got to Miami its the same thing
