Question about videos on iPod Classic?

I'm seriously thinking to buy an iPod Classic but I've heard that you have to connect it to the dock for video playback. I know that the dock isn't that expensive but it would be a great inconvenience. Is it true that that you have to have the dock?

    No, you don't need the dock. You can just watch your videos right on the iPod. Enjoy!
