Question bout a drum set???

what is a good drum set?is sp good?electric or acoustic??is there any good drum sets for cheap money???thanx!

Well what drum companies do you know? Most of the big names have great kits. Tama, Ludwig, Pearl, Sonar, DW [Drum Workshop] (Very Popular these days), Mapex, etc.

I myself have a Mapex M Birch that I got for around a thousand dollars, which sounds great.

Unfortunately you get what you pay for. When I began about 5-6 years ago I played on a $300 Percussion Plus, which frankly sounded horrible.

You can't get any cheap drum set that will sound good.

And my preference is an acoustic set, electric just does not have that authentic sound to me. But they are a lot easier to control over the dynamic of the room if you want to mix with some others in a band.
