What do you drink or put in your mouth before you sing to keep your mouth and throat moist? I tend to dry out after the first song.

  1. Like everyone else said above, water is best.  Not only does it keep your throat moist, it also helps you to support those high notes.

  2. yeah, def a LOT of water. that's basically all i drink, constantly.

    it is also really soothing to do hot water with a lot of lemon and honey and to sip on that at night before a performance or when your throat is feeling scratchy, etc.

    hope that helps.

    def try it.

  3. not just water, but room temperature water! cold liquid can tighten the vocal chords, making it more difficult to sing.

  4. water

  5. Vocal coaches recommend sticking to good ol' water to moisten a dry throat.

  6. Water, anything else causes the build up of mucus in your throat which is really bad when you're singing.
