  1. I'd take a multi-vitamin, and also B-12, because it gives you energy that many vegetarian diets are missing. Also, if you're not drinking milk, take calcium.

  2. if u have gone 2 years without vitamins, keep going. i dont take any. i am vegan too. but i am still alive

  3. I would take a calcium supplement FOR SURE if you aren't consuming any dairy products. Other than that i don't take any extra vitamins.

  4. Centrum is good . hehe ive been a veggie all my life.☺☻

  5. Gummies!!!! I'm a little bit old for them but they really help and they taste good!

  6. Bread, pasta, cereal, rice, beans, peas, lentils, nuts, seeds, fruits and veggies can easily offer everything that you need except B12.

All vegetarians should take a B12 supplement regularly since most people eat meat, dairy AND fortified cereals yet still have a B12 status that is lower than recommended.

It may help if you see proof that vegetarian people have the same potential as anyone else.

If you need meat or dairy during any stage of your life or to live any certain lifestyle, why does the American Dietetic Association say otherwise?

  7. you dont need to consume dairy to get your calcium...if any grocerie stores around your area carry kale leaves those have three times the amount of calcium than cows milk not to mention the dirty little secret that dairy farms dont want you to know...a human body cannot digest the calcium from cows milk if your going to drink milk you might want to start drinking goats milk it is the closest to a humans milk that you can get...i take iron and prenatal vitamins(not prego) but because its the best multivatamin a woman  can get

  8. I take a one a day multivitamin. I also eat a balanced vegetarian diet. The vitamin is just an insurance policy.

BTW: for those not in the loop, veggie is what vegetarians call each other, like "are you veggie too?"

  9. i dont take vitamins

  10. I just take a multivitamin, like Centrum complete. I recommend taking a calcium supplement as well, if you don't consume much dairy.

  11. At least Vitamin B12 and Calcium.

  12. sorry, i dont think any vegetables are going to answer.

anyways, assuming i am broccoli, i'll answer you question by saying that if you haven't taken vitamins for two years being a vegetarian, i'd say you don't need to take any.

  13. I generally do not take vitamin pills.  I don't mind taking chewy ones, but I get humiliated if I have to get the one that requires me to swallow directly, especially if someone else makes me eat it.  It makes me feel like I am on medication, and I get embarrassed if I am on medication.  I would say go for the chewy multi-vitamin.
