Let's say there's a 20 something woman that's like a daughter to you and she's close to your sons who's 5yrs older than her. Anyway she tells you that she believes you did an excellent job in raising your sons to be respectful mature men.

How would you respond to that? How would that make you feel?

  1. I'd say "Thank you" or "Thank you, I'm glad they turned out well" or something similar.

It is a compliment, take it as such.

  2. sounds like she admires the job you have done raising them.

raising respectful mature men is an acomplishment. bask in the compliement!!!!!

  3. I think I would laugh and just say thank you. It would definitely get laughter out of me because she hasn't been in my shoes. Although it was a compliment I would just let it go.

  4. I would say THANKS!! and leave it at that.

  5. I don't have grown children, but I know I love it when people compliment me on my parenting and how well behaved my kids are. I would feel elated and thank them =)
