WEll it all depends on the moment,the mood of the party and the people u r with.If i am with my girl friend, i would like to have a soft,romantic song to be played like - "Careless Whisper" by George Michael or "His mistakes" By Usher.If I was with my friends,I would like to have a dance track on like "Love in this Club" by Usher or "Smack that" By Akon.Then a song like "4 minutes" can be played on which everyone could dance.

at my school dances, all they play is rap. theres only like one rock song out of 100 rap songs they play. it gets everyone sick of the dances and pretty much everyone exept the "wangsters" and chavs have stopped going because of the rap. the DJ needs to mix in ALL genres, not just one. sorry ranting. but yeah, rock, pop( not too much!) and alternative would be wonderful!

Something with a beat you can dance to.  All my school dances had all this hiphop and rap and the only type of dance you can do to that is not appropriate so we just stood there.

ATC, Me and My, and toybox are two examples of lovely dance able artists.
