  1. I suppose there are some who bought off on all of the vicious things said and implied by the Immoral Minority and will drop McCain like a hot poker, but the majority of people will continue to favor the same candidate for the same reasons.  Palin was a poor choice, but least of her issues is her daughter's pregnancy.

  2. Save the world. Vote democrat.

  3. If you can't vote for Palin because her daughter is pregnant, then you can't vote for Obama because his mom was pregnant with him at 17/18 as well.

They have no case with this.

I also respect Obama for his kindness about this issue. (And I don't respect him a lot, so props to him.)

  4. It isn't exactly a deal breaker is it? In some circles it may even be seen as a strength. Sara has good strong moral family values. (though apparently is against birth control education) Many young women are faced with premature motherhood, because birth control is immoral. To me the immorality is unplanned motherhood. And abstinence is much harder than taking a pill or using a condom. When you say no to birth control, the choices get more difficult from there.

There are many reasons not to vote the McCain ticket, but this isnt one of them.

  5. McCain/Palin '08 all the way!

    GO BETH L!!!

  6. When you vote for a presidential candidate, you are first voting for the one running for president, however, you also consider the VP of choice.  I don't think McCain was wise to put that girl's business out in the street--- that to me was nobody's business--- Toni D.

  7. Her pregnancy is not any concern to me; and it has not altered my choice of voting McCain/Palin for our President and Vice President.

100s of thousands young teenage girls have gotten pregnant.  Even Obama's mother got pregnant at the age of 17.

Many of our youth don't listen to their parents; they disregard the advice to wait until marriage.   It just shows us that the Palin family are like millions and millions of other America families that have faced a teenage pregnancy in the family.

    No big deal!

The only ones that are blowing this out of the water are those on CNN.  They have taken this to heights I never thought they would do.  They are the ones feeding this situation to help their candidate.

Joel are you part of the investigating team?

She didn't fire any one.  The one man resigned; her brother-in-law is still a State Trooper.

  8. McCain/Palin '08 all the way!

  9. Only flip flopping libs.

I thought they were all about promiscuity, and "free sexual expression?" And to h**l with the consequences, right you libs?

  10. There is so much scandal on her and it ridicious. GO OBAMA/BIDEN 08!!!

  11. Ask the independent voters, who have to decide for a very conservative woman who's own daughter got pregnant out of wedlock.

This, despite the McCain/Palin campaign promoting conservative values.

  12. How about the fact she fired public officials for not firing her sisters ex-husband?

  13. Practically, the issue should not have any bearing on McCain's candidacy.

However, it was the Republicans who first brought religion (the role of the Church and strict Christian moral values) as the central core of their political platforms. It was the Republicans who made religion as a central issue to all political campaigns. They had always portrayed themselves as having the stronger religious faith and moral values than their Democratic counter-parts. This is the very reason why evangelicals usually endorsed and voted for Republicans. It was also the reason why two evangelicals (Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee) fielded their candidacy.

I can clearly remember how John Edwards was sharply criticized by the Republicans for his extra-marital relationship.

It would be hypocritical of the Republicans to simply ignore and overlook any un-Christian and immoral behavior in their own ranks.

In short, the Republicans had set their own level of moral standards, and they should judge themselves by those same standards.

  14. Well in all honesty, aren't we supposed to judge his character. Not the people he deals with etc. But then again, the people he surrounds probably and effectively reflects him in many ways. This is what the world is coming to...Brittney Spears might as well run for president. Maybe we'd argue about which is the better look for her. Bald, or not?

And for the record, I support Obama.

  15. only those religious fanatics who think everything is a sin and we're all going to h**l just for saying god darn sometimes

  16. Nope.  His VP choice's personal life has nothing to do with where he stands on the issues.  Anyone who would re-think their vote because of that needs to stay home.

  17. Of the many things about McCain alone I find negatively effecting his campaign, one of the most amusing ones is his continuing ad's for "leading our nation into this new era of technology" when it is public fact that McCain does not even retain the ability to check his own e-mails.

So.. if the man can't even operate a computer, what is going to convince me he knows how to choose a good running mate?

  18. They will all vote no matter.

They all voted for Bush despite the odds.

They all follow the republican law - never say turn your back on fellow republicans.

Eve the Alaska moose knows better not to make children at old age.

If this SARAH is so uneducated and so productive to make 5th baby at age 44, why shouldn't her 17 yrs old?

Religion covers all the illiteracy marks in her decision to have a 5th baby at late age.

Hope she will go back home and sit down to nurse that downs syndrome baby with real mother's love. She must not live the baby for other to look after.

People with little commonsense should not be putting themselves in front of vice presidency affairs.

  19. What does her daughter have to do with running a country.  Look at her credentials and experience.  Obama lacks training and experience.

  20. I highly doubt it, they just like to repeat the news story with their own little interpretations of how she got pregnant (liberals, I mean), or that Sarah is against birth-control and abortions involving rape or incest (which I have yet to see any bit of proof of), just so they can blurt out an attacking point, even if they don't have anything to back it up.

  21. I didn't know that. But I wouldn't vote for McCain anyway, for other more important reasons.

  22. not me.  i never supported McCain to begin with.

  23. No  Way!!! It's not her fault!!! I am not voting for MCcain BECAUSE WE NEED CHANGE IN THIS COUNTRY!!! Mcain picked a VP just like Bush, and only because she's a woman, dirty trick....Obama\Biden 08'
