i think he's a man too proud of himself, i mean he came 2 Lebanon with the french president and was introduced more like a french man then a Lebanese man, and even though before he was invited 2 Lebanon 2 be a guest of honor in big book expositions, he always refused.

and i don't know if i read one of his books, i forgot, but i prefer books for Lebanese writers that are more proud of their identity and that would always be loyal 2 their country, loke Alexandre Najjar and Pere Mansour Labake and Andree Chedid, not someone like him. sorry 2 all of his fans, but he's not that great guy.

i know this writer and i liked his book "The Rock of Tanios".  Its not true that lebanese christians are muslim haters....whats true is that lebanese people hate lebanese people, the society is based of fake apperances and lies. The government is a corrupt mafia.

in the book "the rock of tanios" some traits of lebanese society may be found.....the writer only described the people he grew up with.

How not to know that great lebanese journalist/writer?

Actually for me, Ameen Maalouf is one of the best contemporary writers. I like his production so much, and have read many of his books.

Now, I'm trying to get "In the name of identity", but I'm sure I'll like it, bcoz i liked all his books till now.
