I did some research and it appears that Madagascar is a really cheap place to visit!!!! When it comes to cost of living! But I have been looking for Places to stay and I can't seem to find any nice places that don't cost about 300 dollars a night!! I was wondering if anyone knows of any places that cost less!?? Also if you could clear up what the cost of things are going to be when I get there!!???

  1. Madagascar is a wonderfull place to go on vacation, ive been their many time and visited every area of the country, cheap to be on holiday, but this is countered with the fact that is regarded as one of the most expensive place to fly to, so pre -advanced booking is well adviced, also travel, just rent out a whole taxi-brouse bus very cheap and u get far, the mid-west-southern coast is the nicest place to go, also the north-west, and special advies is the island of il st. marie, further try the lonely planet for nice hotels, u can easily get a nice bungalow beach house for about 30-50 euro, whith al comfort part from television, but ure there for the outside anyway,

  2. You can find plenty nice places to stay for realy cheap! Traveling around Mada is difficult. The flights go to Antananarivo from there to go to the tourist spot can be expensive.

You do get the realy upmarket places for $200 up, but there are nice places from $10-$30. These places are popular with people from EU & US and they are happy with it , its basic neat & clean. You can find it in backpacker guides.

I try to renember the names. " Tana jacaranda" was 1 that I stayed in there are many other good ones.

  3. Look for some places on google maps and the hotel may have a website so you can look at prices in a certain area!
