Questions about The National Guard?

Can you be full-time in the National Guard? If so, if you start out as part-time, can you easily go full-time in the National Guard or Army? Please only respond if you know the answer. Thanks.

i think the guard has some full time positions, but the guard is more like a reserve unit. You can join the army and be on full time active duty.

But the guard is a reserver unit. It is like the army reserve.

dont get the two mixed up. Every state has a their own national guard, and the govenor can deploy them to where ever they are needed, like to a hurricane or major fire for disaster relief, but they can be federalized to by government if needed. The Army reserve is just the main army reserve, If you get what i mean,
