Question:

Questions about going pee?

I am 24 weeks pregnant. A few days ago, I felt like my baby turned sideways instead of being up and down. The change in my stomach shape is obvious.

However, since then there's been times when all of a sudden the urge to pee just hits me - and it's as strong as if i've been holding it for hours. I'll start to cramp and everything as if i've been holding it.

Other times, when I go to the bathroom to pee it will be a soft trickle until finally, it starts to pour out like normal. It doesnt hurt or anything it's just like.. I can't get going, lol.

Anyways, does this mean the baby or something else is putting pressure on my bladder? Or should I see if something else is wrong with me?

  1. I've been having the same problems and told my doctor about them, so she made me come in and test for a U.T.I. just in case. But it came back negative, and she said it was just the baby putting pressure on my bladder, which is normal. I think you're okay, but if you do start having other symptoms you should call your doctor.

  2. It's just the way baby is lying, very common.

  3. Your baby is pressing on your bladder. Get use to it lol! :) Just wait until you start peeing a little when you cough, sneeze, move, blink, breath etc. He is just getting bigger!! :)

  4. Probably just pressure from that growing baby, I am also pregnant(23 weeks) and I have the same issues.  I'd ask the doc to check for UTI, just to be on the safe side, but i'm sure your fine...If it makes you feel any better,,,when I go to pee, my boyfriend stands at the door and makes fun of me,,,because it takes me forever...yeah, very immature.
