I'm quoting the Pledge of Allegiance as follows:

Each day, millions of Americans, men, women, and children, recite the Pledge of Allegiance,

Is there something I have to do the title (the Pledge of Allegiance)

Do I italicize it or put it in quotations or leave it how it is?

  1. capitalize t in the

  2. No, you do not need to change the way you have written Pledge of Allegiance.  If there is a thought or fear of confusion you can put it in quotes.

On a side not I would not define "millions of Americans."  It's redundant, we know you're not talking about their pets and cars.  :)

Every day millions of Americans recite the Pledge of Allegiance.  Men, women and children stand up and... (you get the idea)

You don't need all of the commas and this will read more fluently.
