Quick Question.. Is this Normal?

It has been over 10 weeks since the birth of my daughter and my period still hasn't resumed itself.. At my 6 wk check up my gyn said that I am healed and gave me the green light to go back to normal ..

Is this normal??

  1. Are you breast feeding? If so, that can stall your period....but it doesnt mean you cant get pregnant.  


  2. absolutely normal! i am breastfeeding so i didn't have a period for over a year, but even when you don't breast feed it can take a couple months for your period to return to normal.

    don't be surprised if you skip a period or two or have light periods before they are back to being completely normal. your hormone levels are still readjusting to post-pregnancy.

  3. Are you breastfeeding? Because if you are, some women won't get their period while they breastfeed. Don't think that it means you can't get pregnant...because you still can! But, enjoy it! Life without "aunt flo" is beautiful! lol

  4. Are you breastfeeding?  Breastfeeding (especially exclusively) can definitely cause your period to not come back for a long time.  If you aren't, I really can't explain why.
