if you're on a street circuit with no curbs, just a wall, how do you clip the apex with out hitting the wall, or is it just a case of, come as close as humanly possible and hope for the best

There's one ideal line through every corner and the same goes for street circuits.

The difference is that while you can afford to turn in a little tighter or run a bit wider on the exit when there are curbs, you can't afford to do that when there are walls around.

So you leave it a little bit of space and risk getting closer if you want to go faster.

On a normal circuit if you want to go faster you look at other things,like, braking, throttle control, exit speed etc on a street circuit precision and cutting it close at the apex and on the exit will go a long way towards a better lap time.

First thing one will have to do the first time he drives on a circuit surrounded by walls is mark every braking and turn in point possible so that he brakes and turns in at exactly the same spot every time around.

Then you have to work on the set up, sweet and predictable handling is paramount, you can't be fighting the car.

If for example the car has a very positive front end and dives into the corner more than the driver would have wanted that will have to be corrected immediately.

It's best to dial in slight understeer on entry and fine tune from there.
