Quick recovery after work out?

other than stretching is there any thing that will help the following days after a hard work.

  1. A good 5 minute cool down will help too. After your workout walk for about 5 minutes and then stretching alot is a big plus. Your recovery will get better with time. Your body will get used to working out so it will recover faster. Good Luck!

    Run a recovery jog

    I run High School Cross Country, and my coach recommends us to eat within 30 minutes after our hard days.

    Within 30 minutes eat/drink

    Jamba Juice w/ protein boost

    8oz Chocolate Milk

    Peanut Butter and Jelly w/ banana sandwich

    snacks/foods high in protein

    Fruits,

    energy bars?, granola bars?

    Anything BUT fast foods, junk foods, processed foods, or foods high in fat.

    After the half hour drink lots of water, keep hydrated

    (Obviously don't eat/drink everything on the list, but do whatever you want, maybe pick one bev. and one snack.)
