  1. Try the public area of one of the U of T residences. Those in New College are well away from a lot of noise and comfortable.

  2. After business hours and on weekends, the food court underneath the BCE place is very quiet. Lots of tables and chairs, "elevator music" plays (usually classical) but it's not obtrusive.

  3. a book store?

    library?

    church?

usually places where teenagers aren't likely to be.

  4. Toronto has an amazing underground path in the downtown area. Patty has mentioned BCE Place. There are many food courts which should/could be accessible to you. They're downtown so you should be able to gain access virtually anytime.

  5. You can find a local Tim Hortons or other similar coffee shop, and they often will allow you to study there, so long as you buy coffee, and are not just taking up a table there.  Also, grab a table that is out of the way a bit so that no one notices that you are scattering your papers on your table, making a mess that they might find offensive to other patrons.   MY friend used to ALWAYS study at a coffee shop and she did it for like 4 years in university, it was a Tim Hortons right around her house and she loved it!
