Can someone explain to me what this means, I think I understand it but not sure. It's a quotation from Winston Churchill. Personally, I'm ready to learn. Although I do not like being taught. There it is, thanks in advance. And i really need this tonight so if it's been more then 10 hours don't even bother saying anything, sorry to be picky but it'll be too late by then.

  1. The quotation is actually "Personally I'm always ready to learn, although I do not always like being taught." You forgot the "always" which is important.

What he is saying is that the anticipation of learning and the usefulness of it make him always ready, but sometimes, the process of learning can get frustrating and/or boring. He may also have disliked some of his teachers, just as most people do.

  2. Perhaps he loved to learn, but wanted to do so on his own terms/by himself. Learning can be much more fun, interesting, and/or useful when it's on your own and in the real world.
