Radar Detectors?

Question

Any reccomendations on a Radar detector that detects all types of radar yet is not over the top expensive. "Best bang for the buck" deal?

Also...how effective usually are these?

Hockey Man ... They have rules in hockey, don't they?  Although the speeds on the rink are not measured in miles per hour, there's a limit to how aggressively you can slam your opponent against the boards.

So now that you're driving a vehicle weighing several thousand pounds, do you think it's wise to be figuring out ways to circumvent the law?  Laws that are made for your safety and the safety of others?

Your choice, good buddy.  Good luck with your speeding, but do the manufacturers of the detectors compensate you if you wreck?

You will get what you pay for. Cheaper models are more prone to being set off by automatic doors and other distractions. Better models will differentiate between different types of radar and even direction. This will give you the best chance.

Many cops will trigger their radar if they can to not give off any radar until they get a visual. When they see a speeder, they turn it on to get a reading. A good cop will see you and get a reading before you even know they are there.
