I tried to install an after market radio in my car but the plug in the back doesnt match up (the one with with multiple colored wires on it). Is there an adapter or something i can use or do i have to cut and splice i them all together?

  1. the one you have in the pic is from the radio. you need to go to wall mart and get one for the same year and make -model as your car then just put the colors together from the one you bought and the one you have and connect to the wire harness in you car, you might have to get a antenna adapter to you might want to check

  2. You can buy an adapter that fits the plug in your car, then splice it to the wire plug you have pictured.  This is much better than cutting off your stock plug and trying to splice the wires together.  Check with any local car audio store.

  3. ok ... to splice you will need a wiring scamatic of your car (NOT WORTH IT been there) but since its vr3 im guessing walmart is where yo got it so... go to the auto section look for like a scosche? vehicle adapter ... if this was a name brand(pioneer sony) u could go to circuit city and get smart cables(vehicle to universal... universal to vehicle)
